Transport
Sofia is located at most 3 hours away by air from any capital city in Europe. The national carrier Bulgaria Air offers regular direct flights to many major European cities. Major airlines such as Lufthansa, KLM, Air France and British Airways also have direct flights. Budget companies such as Wizz Air and Ryan Air also offer frights to Sofia. If you are traveling from outside Europe, you will likely need to connect through a major airport, such as Frankfurt, Heathrow or Charles de Gaulle.
Sofia Airport is located close to the city, and is conveniently connected via the Metro to the city center and the Holiday Inn.
